Presentation
The Shure KSM141/SL is a switchable-pattern studio condenser microphone designed for instrument recording and sound reinforcement. The capsule directionality is switchable between omnidirectional and cardioid pickup.
Omnidirectional provides a more generous pick-up area, while cardioid provides noise and ambience attenuation in the off-axis sections of the microphone.
In addition, the microphone offers a wide frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, making it a flexible solution for a variety of applications.
The capsule of the KSM141/SL features a permanently biased transducer, providing clean, accurate signal reproduction and frequency response. The transformerless Class A output circuit provides a noise-free output signal path while maintaining high gain levels.
There is a 3-position low-frequency switch, eliminating low-frequency rumble noise and neutralising proximity effect.
The KSM141/SL handles high sound pressure levels and has a 3-position pad allowing attenuation at 0, 15, 25 dB. This means that instruments with a high transient response, such as drums, percussion and brass instruments, can be handled with confidence. The mic is also suitable for recording piano, strings, guitar and woodwinds. The KSM141/SL is supplied with a case, microphone clip and foam windscreen.
