By integrating this module in the 500 format, we recover all the character of old-school compression, tinged with a unique sonic coloration. The module is not just a simple compressor. It also offers a De-Esser mode to tame the sibilance of vocals, with a very fast attack. You have fixed ratios (2:1, 4:1, 10:1) for a compression à la carte, depending on what the track requires. The cherry on the cake is the high-pass filter integrated into the side chain, which avoids the famous "pumping" effect on low frequencies. You can therefore compress as you wish without distorting the depth of the bass.

On the gate/expander side, we are on solid ground too.
