The Pure Drive Quad preamp is built to last. It is built around a digitally-controlled analogue architecture, offering flawless precision and consistency across all channels.
Its notched potentiometers and electronic switches simplify recall and improve the precision of settings.

The Pure Drive Quad preamp is equipped with PureDrive mic preamps, with their characteristic warm, harmonically rich, saturated sound.
These preamps have 4 different impedance levels, allowing engineers to explore new horizons or to match the impedance of the microphone used as closely as possible.

Each preamp features independent +48V phantom power, polarity inversion and a high-pass filter. All are independently switchable between three distinct modes: Clean, Classic Drive and Asymmetric Drive.

SSL's Pure Drive Quad preamp offers full connectivity to meet the needs of the most demanding sound engineers.
It has four XLR/jack combo inputs, four Hi-Z/DI instrument inputs, three D-Sub connectors for line inputs, as well as insert sends and returns.

The insert returns and analogue-to-digital conversion inputs operate at up to +24dBu line level, for direct interconnection with other professional equipment.

The Pure Drive Quad studio preamp is a high-quality professional tool, offering great flexibility and exceptional sound.
It's perfect for recording engineers looking for a versatile, high-performance mic preamp.

Differences between Pure Drive Quad and Pure Drive Octo :

The Pure Drive Quad and Pure Drive Octo are two high-quality studio preamps, designed around the SuperAnalogue PureDrive mic preamps from SSL's ORIGIN consoles.
They share many features, but also have a few notable differences:

- The Pure Drive Octo offers 8 channels, compared with 4 for the Pure Drive Quad.

- The Pure Drive Quad is an excellent choice for sound engineers looking for a versatile, high-performance mic preamp.

- The Pure Drive Octo has an integrated USB interface, making it more suitable for project studios and on-site sessions.

- The USB interface allows the Pure Drive Octo to be connected to a computer for recording and audio processing.

- The Pure Drive Quad is lighter than the Pure Drive Octo, making it easier to transport.

- The Pure Drive Quad is more affordable, making it an attractive option for smaller studios or those on a limited budget.

- Both models share the same SuperAnalogue microphone preamplifiers, which deliver a warm, harmonically rich sound.

- They have the same basic features, such as +48V phantom power, polarity reversal and high-pass filtering.

- The Pure Drive Octo is a more complete model than the Pure Drive Quad, but it also offers additional features that may be useful for certain types of application.
