What the Supro Amulet 1x10 offers right from the start is a choice of power settings that physically alters the sound, not just the volume. At 1 watt, the 6L6 valve operates at its extremes — maximum compression, with a saturated texture evident from the very first few centimetres of the volume control’s travel. At 5 watts, the dynamics open up and the picking regains its depth. At 15 watts, the amp unleashes the full range of the 10-inch Celestion G10 Creamback: this British soft-suspension speaker handles the mid-range with an organic richness and allows the high frequencies to round off naturally, without the harshness of high-power ceramic cones. The Wattage selector is not an attenuator placed after the power stage — it reconfigures the circuit upstream, which changes the way the valves saturate.
The three 12AX7s and the 12AT7 in the preamp build up the gain stage in several layers before the signal reaches the 6L6. The poplar cabinet, clad in Black Scandia Tolex with cream piping, houses the 10-inch woofer within a carefully calculated air volume — 445 × 203 × 430 mm and weighing 13.1 kg, a size that can be carried under one arm. The gold-threaded hemp grille and Dog Bone vinyl handle visually anchor this amp within the Amulet family.
The control section features Volume, Treble, Bass, Reverb, Speed and Depth: six controls for two valve-based effects, each modifying the signal mechanically rather than digitally. The built-in spring reverb adds physical depth; the tremolo modulates the volume by oscillating at the frequency selected via the Speed control, with the amplitude adjusted by the Depth control. The two 8-ohm speaker outputs allow for an external cabinet, and the dual TRS footswitch socket is compatible with the separately sold SF2 Supro to control the reverb and tremolo from the floor.
