Supro - Black Magick Reverb Head

Twenty-five watts of valve power, yet a sonic presence that far exceeds what the figure would suggest: the Supro Black Magick Reverb Head derives its density from two 6973 power valves, a mid-range octal whose tone saturates with an uncommon smoothness. The preamp section, centred around four 12AX7s and one 12AT7, broadens the tonal palette with genuine flexibility — the two independent channels, controlled by Volume 1 and Volume 2, allow for two distinct tones at the touch of a jack.
Tonal shaping is achieved via responsive Treble and Bass controls, a Master control to regulate overall volume, and, most notably, two effects hardwired directly into the circuit: tremolo, whose Speed and Depth parameters shape the sound from a gentle pulse to a deep, choppy effect, and reverb, with its single Reverb control for spatiality adjusted with pinpoint precision. The dual TRS footswitch — the SF2 Supro Dual, sold separately — controls both effects from the stage without needing to adjust the amplifier manually.
The poplar cabinet keeps the unit’s weight down to 11 kg without dampening the cabinet’s acoustic response. The cream and black Black Rhino Hide finish, with a Supro Silver/Black grille and Dog Bone handle, anchors the aesthetic firmly in a confident vintage style. The speaker outputs — 16, 2 × 8 and 2 × 4 ohms — are compatible with any cabinet, whether in rehearsal or on tour.
