Trace Elliot - Acoustic Clarity

The Trace Elliot Acoustic Clarity frequency expansion pedal is designed for acoustic musicians who want to deepen their sound without distorting it. It brings out frequencies already present in the signal, but not usually audible, thanks to a controlled expansion of the spectrum.

It features the Kosmos technology developed by Peavey, designed to enrich natural harmonics rather than add an artificial effect. The 2 variable filters act separately on the bass and treble, allowing precise adjustment to suit the instrument and playing style. The result remains organic, with more depth at the bottom and more air at the top of the spectrum.

The pedal provides subtle reinforcement for fingerstyle acoustic guitar, as well as more pronounced expansion for percussive or chordal playing. It includes an internal bipolar 18 V power supply from a 9 V source, offering a wide dynamic reserve and excellent signal sustain.

True bypass ensures that the signal remains completely intact when the pedal is switched off. It works equally well in front of an acoustic amp or directly in a pedal chain or console. Acoustic Clarity improves the clarity of a mix without the need for heavy equalisation.

It behaves effectively on acoustic bass, reinforcing the sensation of body without drooling. Amplified string instruments gain in relief and presence, particularly in the extreme registers. The interface is deliberately kept simple, so that you can concentrate on playing rather than making adjustments. All in all, this pedal allows you to obtain a wider, richer and better-defined acoustic sound, while respecting the identity of the instrument.
