The Triton Audio BigAmp transforms an unbalanced instrument signal into a balanced XLR output with clean, controlled gain. Compact and battery-free, it can be easily integrated on stage or in the studio for a clean, stable connection.

Presentation
Designed as a direct and efficient solution for connecting an instrument to a professional audio chain, the BigAmp takes a simple but well-executed approach. It is placed between the instrument and a microphone input, and provides both impedance matching and balanced signal conversion. This dual function produces a more stable signal, less susceptible to interference, and better suited to long cable runs.
Its 6.35 mm jack input accepts a wide range of sources, from an electric guitar equipped with passive microphones to the line output of a synthesiser. This versatility means it can be used in a wide range of configurations, without the need for multiple DI boxes or adapters. Behaviour remains constant, with clean reproduction and no marked coloration.
The circuit is based on a low-noise Class A FET architecture, with a slight gain of +3 dB. This technical choice preserves all the dynamics of the original signal, while providing a coherent output level to drive a mic preamp. The low-impedance output buffer makes it easier to transport the signal, even over long distances, without any noticeable loss or degradation of the spectrum.
The absence of a battery simplifies day-to-day use. BigAmp operates directly from the 48 V phantom power supplied by the console, audio interface or preamp. This integrated power supply eliminates the need for battery management and guarantees immediate availability every time you use it.
Its compact size makes it easy to integrate into a mobile setup. It slips easily into a pedalboard, a lightweight rack or a carry bag. On stage, it can remain discreet while providing a reliable link between the instrument and the broadcast system.
