When a dynamic or passive ribbon microphone is used with a preamp, it can sometimes lack the level to realise its full potential. The SE Electronics DM1 Dynamite Black has been designed to solve this problem by bringing clean, stable gain directly to the signal source.

This active preamplifier simply connects between the microphone and the mic input of an audio interface, console or external preamp. When powered via 48 V phantom power, it immediately delivers +28 dB of clean, constant gain, allowing the microphone level to be increased without introducing additional noise or altering the sound signature of the microphone.

The electronic design is based on a transformerless Class-A circuit combined with carefully selected FET transistors. This architecture guarantees a particularly transparent signal and extremely low noise levels.
