Virtual Instruments Software

The UVI Bit Zone (downloadable licence) is a polyphonic analogue synthesiser inspired by the Crumar Bit 99, featuring over 29,000 samples taken from the original hardware. Its 378 presets, two-layer sounds, dual arpeggiators, multimode filters and built-in effects offer a customisable palette – with or without the Yamaha SPX90 chorus – for creating sounds inspired by the vintage 1980s.

Do you need help?
Inspired by the Crumar Bit 99, UVI Bit Zone (downloadable licence) brings the sounds of an Italian polyphonic analogue synthesiser from the 1980s to a software instrument. Over 29,000 samples recorded directly from the hardware power 378 presets and 168 layers, covering basses, keyboards, leads, pads, polysynths, strings and wind instruments.

Each sound can be customised or used as a starting point for a new creation, whilst the Bit 99’s raw waveforms allow you to build your own sounds. The two-layer architecture combines oscillators, envelopes, multimode filters, LFOs and a step modulator, with two arpeggiators and an effects section comprising EQ, drive, Thorus, ensemble, Phasor, delay and Sparkverb.

The samples are recorded with or without the Yamaha SPX90 chorus, allowing this effect to be integrated into sound design. Compatible with UVI Workstation, Falcon and several other formats, Bit Zone integrates seamlessly into various music production environments, enabling users to explore warm, modulated analogue textures.
