The UVX670 virtual instrument (downloadable licence) from UVI combines the sounds of two Japanese analogue synthesisers from the 1980s, the VX600 and the AX73. Its 306 presets cover basses, bells, brass, effects, keyboards, leads, organs, pads, plucks, polysynths, strings and vocals, with two layers and a built-in effects chain to shape each sound design and sonic texture in your productions.

With the UVX670 virtual instrument (downloadable licence) from UVI, you’ll find the sounds of two Japanese analogue synthesisers from the 1980s – the VX600 and the AX73 – all in a single library. Their complementary characteristics allow you to explore basses, bells, brass, effects, keyboards, leads, organs, pads, plucks, polysynths, strings and vocals.

The 306 presets provided serve as a starting point for discovering these different sonic colours. The UVX670 operates with two layers, each with its own selection of voices, as well as its own settings for volume, pan, filters, envelopes, pitch, portamento, stereo modes, modulations and arpeggiators.

The two signals then pass through an effects chain comprising a 3-band equaliser, drive, Thorus, multimode ensemble, Phasor, delay and Sparkverb. The samples were recorded key by key, with both dry and chorus-processed versions available for the AX73. This approach allows the two synths to be layered and custom sounds to be created to suit each musical project.
