Yamaha - MODX6+

The Yamaha MODX6+ offers keyboardists a powerful, dynamic sound palette in a compact, portable package. With its 64 semi-weighted keys, it will appeal to both live musicians and producers looking for a complete instrument capable of covering a wide range of musical styles.

At the heart of this synthesizer are two powerful engines operating in parallel: the AWM2, based on sample playback, and the FM-X, heir to the 8-operator FM synthesis. Together, they offer 256 voices of polyphony (128 AWM2 + 128 FM-X), to create complex textures, rich sound layers or seamless multi-mode performances thanks to Seamless Sound Switching.

The 7" colour touchscreen, physical faders, direct assignments and Super Knob facilitate real-time interaction. The Super Knob lets you modulate up to 128 parameters simultaneously, bringing expressivity and immediate control to your performances. Built-in effects, including a vocoder, VCM simulations of vintage analogue effects and partial or global EQ, enhance the sonic palette.

MODX6+ features a multi-track USB audio/MIDI interface (10 stereo outputs + 4 stereo inputs), ideal for recording directly into a DAW. It also offers 1.75 GB of internal flash memory for importing external sound libraries, with extended compatibility (MONTAGE, MOTIF, MOXF). Its USB-to-host and USB-to-device ports let you connect computers, iPads or USB sticks for project storage and management.

Designed as a 16-zone master keyboard, it integrates easily into an extended MIDI setup. Lightweight (6.6 kg) and featuring a stereo audio input with adjustable gain, the MODX6+ is at home in the studio, on stage or in a mobile home studio.
