The AT2050 is intended for use in professional applications where there is already an external power source. It requires a phantom power supply of 11V to 52V DC that can be provided by a mixer or a mixer
or from an independent source to be connected in series such that phantom power AT8801 single-channel or CP8506 four-channel Audio-Technica.
The output of the microphone is low impedance balanced, XLR male, 3 pins. The signal is symmetrical between pins 2 and 3, the hot spot is two (the positive voltage on the hot spot is generated by a positive acoustic pressure on the capsule). There
ground (shield) is on pin 1. To avoid phase cancellation and poor sound, all mic cables must be wired consistently: Pin 1-Pin 1, etc.
A high pass filter integrated 80 Hz allows easy switching of the frequency response flat to mitigating serious. The high-pass position serves to make it less sensitive microphone to "pops" when it is used on close votes. It also serves to reduce sensitivity to low-frequency ambient noise (such as traffic, ventilation, etc.), the room reverberation and mechanically coupled vibrations. When using the microphone, hook the cable arm or
at the foot of micro leaving soft micro level. This is the most effective way to absorb shocks and you're less likely to accidentally pull the microphone away from its support.
Avoid leaving the microphone in direct sunlight or in places where the temperature is above 43 ° C (110 ° F) for extended periods. Extremely high humidity should also be avoided.
