The B&C Speakers DE500 16 Ohm compression driver is a high-performance model designed for demanding professional audio applications. It is distinguished by its titanium diaphragm and a 1.7" (44 mm) aluminum voice coil, designed to provide precise and clear sound reproduction, especially in the high frequency ranges.

Its frequency response covers from 1 kHz to 18 kHz, which allows for consistent performance across the entire high range. This driver is particularly suitable for sound reinforcement systems requiring high sensitivity, displaying a value of 108 dB at 1W/1m. With a nominal power of 100 W AES, it can handle moderate power levels while preserving high fidelity in sound reproduction.

The integration of the B&C Speakers DE500 16 Ohm into professional audio systems is facilitated by its practical mounting. It has two M6 threaded holes on a diameter of 76 mm, as well as three other M6 holes on a diameter of 57 mm at 120°, thus offering flexibility for installation in different types of configurations.
This compression driver is also designed for a recommended cutoff frequency of 1.5 kHz, allowing for a smooth transition with other transducers in a multi-channel audio system.
