Presentation
The B&C Speakers DE502 16 Ohm Driver is a compression driver that follows on from the DE500, offering a marked evolution. Thanks to an optimised titanium diaphragm, its distortion is reduced and its stability enhanced, resulting in clearer, more consistent high-frequency reproduction. Its design makes it a solid solution for sound engineers looking for reliability and reproduction quality in professional configurations.
This model delivers 50 W AES (100 W programme) and has a sensitivity of 108 dB, enabling powerful sound reproduction with minimum energy. Combined with a compact but high-performance neodymium magnet assembly, it combines power and efficiency in a compact format. The 1.9 T magnetic flux ensures precise control of the diaphragm and a stable response even at high volume.
The DE502 covers a bandwidth of 1 kHz to 18 kHz, making it suitable for two-way PA systems or systems requiring a high-performance tweeter. Its recommended crossover frequency of 1.5 kHz offers a good margin of use and ensures smooth integration with the other transducers in the loudspeaker.
Its 44 mm aluminium voice coil mounted on a lightweight support ensures speed and precision, contributing to a clear rendering of vocals and instruments. Combined with the titanium diaphragm, it ensures faithful reproduction of detail, without aggressiveness, even over extended listening periods.
