D'Angelico Premier DC Charcoal Burst The D'Angelico Premier DC Charcoal Burst features a semi-hollow body design inspired by vintage New York guitars, designed for rock and jazz styles. Its spruce top and laminated maple body deliver a warm, balanced response, whilst the two D'Angelico humbuckers provide a rich, well-defined tone.

Presentation
When played, this semi-acoustic guitar responds with a warmth that stems from its semi-hollow construction with a central block, striking a balance between acoustic projection and feedback resistance on stage. The laminated maple body features a double-cutaway spruce top, finished in a gloss finish accentuated by five-strip binding.
The maple neck, shaped to a C-profile, has a scale length of 628.65 mm – a length that balances string tension with playing range. The pau ferro fingerboard features 22 medium-sized vintage nickel-silver frets, with synthetic mother-of-pearl block inlays that guide the eye towards the higher positions. A 43 mm Graph Tech NuBone XL nut completes this playing architecture.
On the electronics front, the HH configuration features a D’Angelico humbucker at the neck and a second at the bridge, selected via a three-position switch that shifts from a round tone to a biting attack. Two volume and two tone controls, featuring 500 kΩ potentiometers with ebony knobs, shape the tonal palette, whilst the Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece ensure stable tuning. Non-locking Stairstep tuners and nickel hardware complete the package.
D’Angelico Electrozinc 10-46 strings come as standard on this Premier DC, built in Indonesia in a Charcoal Burst finish that fades from blonde to black. Whether in the studio, on stage, or playing rock or mellow jazz, it embodies a tradition of craftsmanship dating back to John D’Angelico’s New York workshop, where around thirty archtop guitars were hand-built each year in the 1930s.

Spotlight on
D'Angelico is a New York brand of electric guitars that has existed since 1938. First went unnoticed because the guitars were manufactured only by hand in a very small workshop by two luthiers; it is in 2011, at a show at the New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, that D'Angelico is noticed. Since then, D'Angelico guitars have been a real success thanks to their quality of manufacture and their price.
