DPA - 4099 CORE+ Loud SPL, Kit Stéréo Piano

The DPA 4099 CORE+ Loud SPL Stereo Piano Kit has been designed to provide faithful, balanced and natural piano recording, whether in the studio or on stage. Incorporating two DPA 4099 CORE+ Loud SPL microphones, it delivers remarkably accurate reproduction thanks to CORE+ technology, which improves clarity, extends the dynamic range and reduces background noise. This innovation ensures that the entire sound spectrum is captured, reproducing every nuance of the performance with exemplary transparency.

Each microphone in the kit has a pre-polarised condenser capsule with supercardioid polar pattern, ideal for isolating the piano from ambient sounds while preserving tonal coherence. Its frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a slight accentuation in the high frequencies, emphasises the natural brilliance of the instrument while preserving the roundness of the bass. Thanks to its resistance to high sound pressure levels, up to 145 dB SPL peak, the 4099 handles the most dynamic pianists or powerful grand pianos used on stage without distortion.

The P-CLIP magnetic mounting system greatly simplifies microphone positioning and adjustment. Its design allows quick mounting on any type of piano, upright or grand, while ensuring a secure and stable fit. The powerful built-in magnets ensure a reliable hold, while the rubberised base preserves the instrument's finish. The flexible 140 mm gooseneck allows the capsule to be positioned at different angles to vary the pick-up depending on the style of playing, the type of piano and the acoustics of the venue.

This kit also offers great creative freedom: by adjusting the distance and angle of the microphones, it is possible to obtain a more intimate, warm sound or, on the contrary, a wider, airier stereo image. This flexibility makes the 4099 CORE+ Piano just as effective in the studio as it is on stage, guaranteeing a natural, balanced sound in all configurations.

Like the rest of the DPA CORE+ range, the microphones benefit from an improved internal shock mount, IP58 protection against moisture and dust, and a detachable MicroLock connector, compatible with DPA XLR adapters (DAD9099/DAD9001) or wireless systems.
