The DPA 4266-OP-F-F90-LH is a professional omnidirectional headband microphone featuring CORE+ technology and a 110 mm long boom. Designed for live performance, television, conferences and broadcasting, it offers natural vocal reproduction, exceptional comfort and remarkable visual discretion, whilst ensuring excellent durability in demanding environments.

ARTICLE N° 122794
The DPA 4266-OP-F-F90-LH combines the acoustic performance of the omnidirectional capsule from the renowned 4066 with a particularly comfortable and discreet double-ear headband. This design ensures consistent vocal pickup even when the user turns their head or moves around on stage – a feature particularly valued in conference, theatre, television broadcast and presentation settings.

This version features CORE+ technology, the latest evolution of DPA’s expertise. It significantly reduces distortion artefacts across the entire dynamic range, delivering a more open, natural and transparent sound reproduction than previous generations. This improvement is particularly noticeable in both spoken and sung vocals, where every nuance is reproduced with precision.

The Flex headband automatically adapts to different head shapes and ensures an excellent fit whilst remaining virtually invisible. The 110 mm boom allows for optimal positioning of the capsule at the corner of the mouth to achieve the best balance between intelligibility, sound level and visual discretion.

DPA’s modular system also allows the cable or adapter to be replaced quickly without having to replace the entire microphone. This design reduces maintenance costs whilst facilitating integration with numerous professional wireless systems thanks to the MicroLock adapters available separately.

At DPA, the final letters mainly indicate the length of the boom arm and, occasionally, the mounting generation:
LE = Long Earset → earset version with a long boom arm.
ME = Medium Earset → earset version with a shorter boom arm.
LH = Long Headset → dual-ear headband version with a 110 mm long boom (your reference).
MH = Medium Headset → dual-ear headband version with a shorter boom, usually 90 mm.

For conference, theatre or broadcast applications, the LH version is often preferred as the longer boom makes it easier to position the capsule at the corner of the mouth for a wider range of face shapes.

The 4266 is more versatile than it appears:
Unlike many competing headset microphones, the cable, boom and RF adaptors can be replaced individually. In the event of damage, it is therefore generally not necessary to replace the entire microphone.

Two sound signatures in the same microphone:
The two acoustic grilles supplied allow you to adjust the presence of high frequencies depending on the application. This is effectively equivalent to having two different frequency response curves without the need for DSP processing or additional equalisation.

MicroLock / MicroDot compatibility:
The new MicroLock system is backwards compatible with DPA’s MicroDot ecosystem. Users who already own a set of adaptors can therefore gradually migrate to the new generation without having to replace all their wireless accessories.
