This directional headband microphone is designed to deliver speech with consistent intelligibility in situations where ambient noise may interfere with the pickup, with a frequency response suited to both spoken and sung vocals in a variety of acoustic environments. Its supercardioid polar pattern helps to isolate the sound source and minimise the influence of sounds from the sides or rear, which also helps to maintain a high pre-feedback gain when multiple sound sources are present.

The CORE+ capsule covers a useful frequency range from 100 Hz to 18 kHz, with a slight 1 dB boost at 14 kHz, to ensure detailed and balanced vocal reproduction. Its off-axis acoustic design, combined with a partially asymmetrical construction, reduces sensitivity to minor positioning variations and helps maintain consistent tonal reproduction even when the boom arm is not positioned exactly in the same place.

The Act housing prioritises comfort with rounded ear contours that reduce pressure points, as well as clips designed to maintain the chosen fit over time and throughout daily use. The cable runs down to where it meets the ear hook, and the PVD finish makes the ear hook more visually discreet, with transparent clips and a matching beige colour that help it blend seamlessly with the face.

The design also prioritises durability, thanks to IP58 certification against moisture and dust, as well as a construction designed to facilitate repairs and extend the microphone’s lifespan. The zipped case features an identification window, an elasticated strap and a pocket for the label, ensuring that storage, identifying the connectors and keeping track of the equipment remain straightforward on a day-to-day basis.
