Based on EMG's Retro Active series, each pickup is designed with a discrete preamp that respects the dynamics of your playing while suppressing background noise. Positions 1, 3 and 5 give you rich, expressive tones, perfect for blues, soul or 70s rock. The intermediate positions, meanwhile, offer beautiful transparency and natural compression, ideal for arpeggios or funk rhythms.
