Developed in collaboration with Jim Root, this set of EMG Daemonum pickups is an active version designed for modern Floyd Rose spaced guitars.
Designed to meet specific requirements, it features different magnets for each position: ceramic for the neck pickup, ceramic and steel for the bridge pickup. This combination produces clean attacks, good definition and a well-controlled dynamic response. The whole unit retains a simple open coil format.
The pickups are supplied with the EMG solderless system for faster, cleaner installation and no need for earthing. The neck pickup is distinguished by a percussive brilliance that remains legible, even at high saturation. The bridge, meanwhile, pushes harmonics forward and delivers tight saturation.
Each pickup is mounted on a long 19 mm shaft, suitable for guitars with thick tops like the Les Paul. This set requires no modification to the guitar if it already has active routing. Autonomy is also a strong point, with up to 600 hours on a 9V battery.
