With this duo of Daemonum humbuckers by EMG, Jim Root offers a modernised version of his favourite pickups.
The bridge pickup, fitted with a ceramic magnet and steel pins, delivers a clean attack and impressive sustain even at high volume. The neck pickup, on the other hand, is more nuanced, with a fine treble response and ideal articulation for solos.
Together, they cover a wide spectrum from extreme metal to percussive clean tones. This long-axis model can be adapted to thicker guitars like Les Pauls, with no need for DIY.
The supplied solderless mounting system makes it easy to install the two pickups cleanly, even without experience. Everything you need is included in the pack: cables, potentiometers, connectors and screws.
Thanks to on-board Retro Active technology, the microphones deliver a dynamic response superior to that of conventional active microphones.
