Presentation
Conceived and designed with Jim Root, the EMG Daemonum Zebra set combines the attack and power of the 81/60 combo with the responsiveness of Retro Active models. This duo of double-coil pickups was perfected after several years of testing, notably during the recording sessions for Slipknot's sixth album.
The neck pickup uses ceramic pads, giving a clear, sharp, percussive sound. The bridge pickup uses a ceramic magnet and black steel pads, giving it an aggressive, saturated sound.
Unlike traditional open humbuckers, the 2 pickups are fitted with stud poles. Each pickup is fitted with a custom active preamp, integrated into the base, for high output and excellent noise resistance.
EMG's solderless cabling makes installation a breeze, even in a guitar fitted with a Floyd Rose. The set includes all the necessary components: two volumes, two tones, stereo jack, drum kit, cables and mounting screws.
