The EMG JR "Daemonum" Zebra pickup set draws on Jim Root's dark and edgy world. Behind its retro look lies uncompromising active technology. Each pick-up features an exclusive preamp to maintain a biting attack in all circumstances.
With its ceramic magnets, the bridge combines shock precision with controlled nervousness. The neck pickup, on the other hand, prefers a sharper character thanks to its percussive poles.

The output level is close to the top: 8.00V with strumming, 3.00V on one string. Even when the amps are pushed, silence reigns: -120 dB at 60 Hz. Its 3 kΩ impedance favours a direct response, without coloration. Installation remains intuitive thanks to the solderless system supplied.
The complete cabling is adaptable to blade, toggle or EMG selectors. Specs-wise, the set meets the requirements of Tune-O-Matic and Floyd Rose guitars. How long will it last? Up to 600 hours on a single 9V battery.

A ceramic duo designed to explore the darker areas of the spectrum, without ever sacrificing raw intensity or playing instinct.

The bridge at 1.63 kHz creates an ideal zone for swells. Inverted delays gain in definition without dominating the mix.

On an amp or DAW, you can reduce the treble slightly. The midrange becomes more expressive with less digital processing.

The neck pickup stands out more than expected in the layers. It doesn't crash, even when superimposed on busy leads.

For controlled feedback, certain frequencies catch in the midrange. High frequencies emerge quickly, especially at high volume with saturation.

This set adds thickness without erasing detail. Every nuance comes through clearly, even in complex textures.
