The EMG KH21 is a Kirk Hammett signature pickguard, ready to use! It includes 2 EMG 81 active pickups with ceramic/steel magnets. These humbuckers deliver spectacular power and definition. The sound is sharp and precise, with a fluid sustain.
Each pickup has its own volume control. A global tone control adjusts the treble. The whole system is pre-wired using EMG's patented solderless system. Installation is simple, with no soldering or permanent modifications.
The pickguard has 11 holes and fits Strat-type guitars. The design is in white mother-of-pearl with contrasting black buttons. This system has been used by Kirk Hammett since the 90s.
The internal wiring is optimised for fast, quiet response. A single 9V battery powers the whole system. The KH21 is a professional, fast and efficient solution for transforming your guitar!
