EMG - Maverick 5 Set Black

The EMG Maverick 5 Set Black is a trio of pickups that puts the Stratocaster back on the map in SSS configuration. This active set of three single pickups revisits the Californian surf of the 60s with the reliability and clarity demanded by today's guitarists. No buzz, no hiss, just clear, dynamic, assertive sound.

Each position has its own character. The neck pickup is bright and articulate, ideal for arpeggios or picking intros. In the middle, the balance is perfect for broader rhythms. The bridge, on the other hand, has more bite: it gives that incisive, slightly aggressive attack, perfect for getting out of the mix without straining.

Installation doesn't hold anyone back. The EMG Plug & Play system eliminates the need for soldering and simplifies everything. Everything is supplied, from connectors to 25K pots, battery foam, complete cabling and screws and bolts. Just follow the plan, and it works first time.

In terms of feel, the response is fluid, fast and natural. There's that vintage feel, but with modern responsiveness. Even the gain has been subtly adjusted, just above a passive pick-up, to stay true to the style without compromising power.
