Presentation
The EMG SL20 Left Handed Steve Lukather kit is a complete system ready to be installed on a Stratocaster guitar. Designed in collaboration with Toto guitarist Steve Lukather, this model is exactly the same configuration he's been using on stage and in the studio since 1985.
This pre-wired pickguard features two EMG SLV single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions, plus an EMG 85 dual pickup in the bridge position.
The SLVs provide a clear, well-defined sound, while the EMG 85 adds more power and warmth for solos or denser rhythms.
The balance between these three positions means you can cover a wide range of styles, from funk to rock, without having to change the setting for each track.
The unit runs on a 9V battery and is based on EMG's own active electronics, for a stable signal with no background noise. Installation is simple thanks to the solderless connection system.
The whole system is mounted on a black 11-screw pickguard, ready to be screwed directly onto the instrument. The system runs on a 9V battery, providing a stable sound with no background noise.

Steve Lukather has been the guitarist with Toto since the late 70s, and is also one of the most sought-after studio musicians. He can be heard on cult albums alongside Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney and Lionel Richie. He plays with great technique and feeling, and always strives for a clear, precise sound, which he often achieves thanks to his EMG pickups.
