Presentation
The EMG SA Set Black pickups are based on a well thought-out active architecture. Three simple windings coexist, each powered by an Alnico V magnet. Together, they generate a precise, constant and interference-free output voltage. It's a sound base that's controlled, but not cold.
This set raises the harmonics. It pushes the frequency response towards 3.70 kHz, while keeping the noise level below -100 dB. The on-board preamp stabilises the signal and enhances the response without artificially inflating the timbre. It doesn't colour, it reveals.
Its silent operation keeps the subtleties of the playing intact. Sustain is enhanced, even when the pick-ups brush against the strings. No shielding is needed. There are no shocks. Just clean impulses, calibrated for faithful reproduction.
The solderless system, complete with cables, jack, selector and 25K pots, reduces friction during installation. It integrates with most Strat systems. Active tones are sent via the send/return circuit. Passive tones remain accessible.
At 240 µA power consumption, this model provides almost 1000 hours of autonomy from a 9V battery. Every parameter has been validated to last, and every detail optimises your consistency.
