The EMG ST-65 is a pre-wired pickguard designed to simplify upgrading a Stratocaster. It comprises three passive single-coil pickups equipped with Alnico V magnets, mounted on a standard-format 3-ply pickguard. Thanks to its solderless system with 2-pin connectors, installation requires no soldering or special tools, which makes maintenance much easier.
This set produces a higher output than conventional Alnico II or III pickups, with a clean attack and a balanced sound spectrum. The mids are pronounced and the highs clear, providing a versatile sound that is equally suited to dynamic rhythms and precise solos. The sound lends itself to a variety of styles, including rock, blues and funk.
