The EMG SV Ivory pickup set follows in the footsteps of tradition. Made up of three simple active coils, it modulates every nuance with precision. Inspired by the sounds of 1959, the response is calm and never muddled.
The Alnico V magnets with stepped pads sculpt a well-maintained sound field. Each string keeps its place, even when played very hard. Everything remains clear, rich and free of spillover. No background noise, even at high volumes. The active preamp, built into each pickup, is discreet and solid. It regulates output at 1V per string, up to 3V on full attacks. The 10 kΩ output impedance stabilises transmission, even on difficult pedals.
No precision tools are required for installation. Solderless wiring means less handling. You can add or replace a pickup without touching the solder joints. Alnico V magnets give this set an acoustic backbone. The sober cream finish lets the playing do the talking. The result is a clear, direct, unadulterated presence.
