Jet Guitars - JS 300 Black

Some guitars set out to surprise. The Jet Guitars JS-300 Black is not one of them — and that is precisely what makes it so credible. The glossy black finish of the torrefied poplar body set against the tortoiseshell pickguard creates a understated, classic visual contrast that reminds us why certain combinations stand the test of time without ever looking dated.
The wood tells the same story of calculated simplicity. The roasted poplar — used for the top, back and sides — reduces the weight without compromising sustain, whilst the Modern C-shaped neck, crafted from roasted Canadian maple, follows this philosophy of using materials stabilised by heat rather than chemical treatments. The torrefied maple fingerboard, radiused to 241.3 mm, provides a surface over which the hand glides effortlessly, from the first frets right up to the 22nd fret at the top of the neck. The 41.9 mm nut width ensures plenty of breathing space between the strings, and the bone/polymer nut (in use since 2025) puts an end to any debate about in-tune performance during live gigs.
On the signal side, the SSS configuration with ceramic pickups, powered by 1 volume control, 2 tone controls and a 5-position switch, covers the entire Stratocaster sound palette — crisp attack, semi-hollow mid-range tones and a rounded low-end. The tremolo-style vibrato bridge, the double-action truss rod and the chrome hardware set against a black background combine to create an instrument whose balance is no accident.
