Markbass - MB 4 Black JB

The Markbass MB 4 Black JB stands out for its understated character within the MB Entry Level Bass series, with a black finish that emphasises its JB-style offset silhouette. Its familiar lines evoke classic basses whilst maintaining a direct presence, sounding just as natural in rehearsal as it does on stage.

Its poplar body offers a balanced and pleasant response under the fingers, whilst the 34-inch (863.60 mm) scale length provides the familiar feel of a four-string electric bass. The narrow-profile maple neck complements this design, promoting a responsive feel.

The maple fingerboard extends this crisp feel. Its 20 frets provide a sufficiently wide range for bass lines, funky riffs and forays higher up the neck. Jaco’s acoustic inspiration adds a distinct tone to the overall sound.

On the electronics front, the two J-style single-coil pickups, positioned at the neck and bridge, deliver all the characteristic definition of a JB configuration. The two volume controls and the tone control then allow you to fine-tune the balance between attack, warmth and bite, depending on your playing style and the track.

The black body complements this aesthetic with its black pickguard and chrome control plate, creating a sleek and effective look. The GLOXY gig bag and MB strap are included with the bass, so you can easily head to the rehearsal room or the stage with everything you need to hand.
