Martinez - Standard MC-20S CET RN

The Martinez Standard MC-20S CET RN classical guitar sits more discreetly under the arm thanks to its Thinbody design, which reduces the depth of the body and naturally brings the right arm closer to the strings. This slimmer profile retains the silhouette of a classical guitar, with a cutaway that provides access to the higher registers and follows the movement of the left hand along the neck.

The acoustic character stems from the combination of woods. The spruce top provides a crisp attack and a clear response in the treble range, whilst the mahogany back and sides add warmth and rounded mid-range tones. Beneath its gloss finish, the natural colour allows the wood’s grain to show through, even under the stage lights.

With a scale length of 25.59" (650 mm), the Martinez Standard MC-20S CET RN retains the hallmarks of a concert classical guitar. Its 19 frets extend the neck to the high notes of the advanced repertoire, whilst the 2.05" (52 mm) nut provides sufficient space between the strings to position each finger accurately.

Founded in Germany in 1978 and subsequently established in Guangzhou in 2005, Martinez draws on the expertise of American luthier Kenny Hill and Spanish craftsmanship. The Standard MC-20S CET RN carries this heritage through to its practical use, from practice to live performance.
