Presentation
The Motu M6 audio interface features 6 inputs and 4 outputs, with up to 32-bit/192kHz resolution to capture every sonic detail. Thanks to its ESS Sabre32 Ultra™ DAC technology, audio reproduction is highly accurate. What's more, the colour LCD display makes it easy to read levels and settings at a glance.
The 4 XLR/Jack TRS combo inputs incorporate individual gain and 48V phantom power, allowing both microphones and instruments to be connected. At the same time, direct monitoring and the Monitor mix button let you control the balance between incoming signal and playback.
The balanced TRS jack outputs, coupled with a dynamic range of 120dB, guarantee faithful reproduction on your monitoring speakers. The 2 headphone outputs with independent volumes are ideal for working with others.
In addition, USB-C and iOS compatibility means you can seamlessly integrate the system into a variety of environments. On the microphone side, the Shure SM7dB features a cardioid pick-up pattern and a frequency response of 50 Hz to 20 kHz, capturing vocals with warmth and precision. Its robust construction and magnetic shielding reduce interference for cleaner recording.
What's more, its built-in adjustable preamp (+18dB or +28dB) means it can adapt to the weakest sources without excessive noise. Finally, its switchable filters add flexibility to suit the style you're looking for.
