REFERENCE : NOVMCTRL660PRO
The Novastar MCTRL660 PRO is a controller that receives video signals from various sources and distributes them to an LED screen. It acts as a central interface between the video source and the LED panels, whilst managing the signal, its transmission and its synchronisation.

Presentation
The MCTRL660 PRO acts as the interface between the various video sources in a system and the LED screen on which they are to be displayed. Its architecture enables it to work with several formats commonly used in professional environments, including 3G-SDI, HDMI and DVI. It can therefore be integrated into a wide variety of video workflows without the need for multiple upstream conversion devices.
In terms of processing, the controller accepts sources up to 1920 × 1200 at 60 Hz and supports 8-, 10- and 12-bit signals. In particular, 10- and 12-bit sources benefit from independent gamma adjustment for the red, green and blue components. This feature allows for greater control over grey levels and white balance deviations, whilst pixel-level calibration helps to standardise brightness and colours across the entire screen.
Signal distribution is handled via six Gigabit Ethernet outputs, with a capacity of up to 650,000 pixels per port at 8-bit resolution. For installations requiring greater distance between the control unit and the display, two 10G optical interfaces can be used instead. With a suitable single-mode fibre, transmission can reach up to 10 km. The MCTRL660 PRO can also function as a send card or a fibre converter, further expanding integration possibilities.
Signal management does not stop at transmission. Genlock allows multiple units to be synchronised or linked to an external reference, whilst the HDMI, DVI and 3G-SDI loop outputs facilitate daisy-chaining of equipment. A dedicated HDMI output also allows you to monitor the connected video sources.
For stage applications, low latency is another key advantage; under specified conditions, it can fall below 1 ms. Image mirroring, automatic screen configuration, web-based control and one-click backup and restore round off the package. Finally, up to eight MCTRL660 PRO units can be cascaded to build a larger control architecture.
