The Ashdown Capri Ice Blue bass guitar is a 4-string electric bass in short scale format. Its 30-inch (762 mm) scale makes it easy to play, with comfortable access to all 19 frets.
The poplar body keeps the weight down. The screwed neck in roasted maple provides stability and consistency. The torrefied maple fingerboard ensures a fluid feel. The 6 mm black markings are clear and easy to read. The headstock matches the Ice Blue finish for a consistent look.
It's fitted with an Alnico Soap Bar pickup with chrome cap. This pick-up produces round bass, present midrange and clear treble. The electronics are passive, so the sound is direct and natural. The controls are simple: a Volume knob and a Tone knob. CTS-type potentiometers provide precise control. The vintage chromed tuning machines ensure good tuning stability. Fitted with original 45-100 strings, it offers balanced tension.
