The BOSS GK5-KIT-B is designed to integrate the GK-5B system into your electric bass, whether it has four, five or six strings. Every component of the kit, from the split pickup to the electronic board, including the switches and the GK volume potentiometer, is designed for a professional, customisable installation.
Musicians can position the controls according to their preferences, ensuring easy access while playing while retaining the sound of their bass's classic pickups.
The split pickup picks up each string individually, providing a stable digital signal via the Serial GK interface. This precision allows you to control BOSS bass synthesizers or V-Guitar systems with accuracy. The three-position selector switch makes it possible to choose between the GK signal, the standard pick-up signal or a mixture of the two.
The GK knob adjusts the volume or various assignable parameters, while the momentary switch activates the S1 and S2 functions for fast, intuitive management of connected devices.
Designed to fit most electric basses, the transducer is flat and adjustable to match bridge spacing, ensuring a stable and reliable installation. The kit offers bassists a gateway to new sound textures and extended control, whether for jazz, funk, progressive rock or electronic music.
With this system, the bass becomes both true to its original timbre and capable of exploring new musical dimensions.
