The SY-200 turns your guitar or bass into a versatile analogue synth, ready to add dynamic, evocative and compelling new timbres to your music. This ultra-compact pedal features 171 sounds organised into 12 intuitive categories, plus adjustable parameters for customising these sounds and their response. And with 128 memory locations, you can store all your favourite sounds and recall them instantly in the middle of a gig.
Quickly create your own sounds
Recalling sounds and balancing guitar and synth volumes on the SY-200 is simple, thanks to its informative display and physical controllers. All preset synth sounds have been chosen and tuned by BOSS engineers to be immediately playable and useful. But if you want to tweak them, you can do so using the three editable parameters, accessed via dedicated knobs.
Versatile connectivity
The SY-200 can be easily integrated into different types of configuration. Insert it into your chain like a conventional pedal, or use the Send and Out outputs to send synth and guitar sounds to two different destinations. The Send/Return loop and volume knobs let you create unique hybrid sounds by mixing several pedals in parallel, each emitting a different synth sound.

The SY-200 gives you a wide range of control options, while taking up minimal space on your pedalboard. Its two customisable, multi-function footswitches can be pressed one at a time or continuously to control synth on/off, memory scrolling, pitch bend, hold and more. More controls are possible using external footswitches or an expression pedal. MIDI control allows the use of pedals with MIDI sockets, and products such as the ES-5 or ES-8 Effects Switching Systems.

You can use the SY-200 with any guitar or bass. Just plug in your 1/4" jack and start creating. Thanks to its special DSP and the latest BOSS innovations, you'll experience zero latency and a natural extension of your instrument, allowing you to play freely without changing your playing technique.
