Presentation
Since its release in 1982, the DPA 4006 has continued to increase its reputation, unanimously throughout the world, to the point of becoming a must for any professional studio.
The 4006 has acquired its reputation thanks to its transparency both on proximity recordings on acoustic instruments, and in ambient recordings. Thus, it is ideal for the A-B stereo pair capture of symphony orchestras in concert halls, where the quality of the recordings can sometimes be compromised by the architecture of the venue.
On a stand, suspended or fixed to a support, Sonovente recommends the DPA 4006 C for theaters, concert halls and places of worship, in order to capture the atmosphere of the room. This model is also very popular for film recordings, in the studio or on site. Musicians use the DPA d:dicate 4006C to reinforce proximity recordings on strings, brass or piano. Its extremely compact size allows it to be positioned in any way, while maintaining great discretion.
The 4006C omnidirectional microphone is part of DPA's flexible d:dicate series. It combines the MMC4006 omnidirectional capsule with the MMP-C preamplifier. At any time, it is possible to modify the 4006 C into a new configuration, by attaching another capsule, or another preamplifier, from the d:dicate or d:facto series.
The DPA d:dicate 4006C omnidirectional microphone is also available as a matched stereo pair ST4006C.
