James Hetfield wanted more nerve and less breath and EMG responded with the JH "HET" Set Black Chrome. Two active humbuckers, calibrated to hit without drowning out detail.
The neck pickup uses a ceramic magnet. It retains clarity under saturation, without losing grain. The bridge pickup fuses steel and ceramic for a sharper, more compact sound. Every note hits, without extraneous noise.
The solderless system simplifies everything. Every cable clips on. You get everything: pickups, cables, screws, stereo jack, drum bus. You don't even have to touch the ground on the strings.
The output level pushes hard, up to 4.5 V when strumming. Background noise remains low, even at high volume. Battery life exceeds 1,500 hours, so you can forget about the battery.
This set is compatible with EMG modules such as the VLPF and EXG. All in a metal body with a Black Chrome finish. It's solid. It's clear. It's designed to play hard, long and uncompromisingly.
