For Jazzmaster guitars, the EMG JMaster White pickup set combines large coil and Alnico 5. You get real vintage grain, but without buzz or signal loss. The active electronics pack everything into an easy-to-install format, even without a ground wire.

EMG has brought the Jazzmaster up to date with a formidably well thought-out set of White active pickups. The large, stacked coils, typical of vintage pickups, give a clean, open signal. But here, the hiss is gone. The active electronics include a discreet preamp, calibrated to respond naturally and without overload.
Inside, Alnico 5 magnets sculpt a round, deep, precise midrange. Each pick-up reacts to touch, with lively dynamics. Solderless wiring is simple: the connectors snap on, so there's no need for ground wires or body mods.
You control everything with two 25K pots supplied. Volume, tone: the timbre obeys you on the spot. And to take things even further, EMG has added a stereo jack, an ultra-durable 9V power supply (over 700 hours) and compatibility with all its active accessories.
Designed for direct mounting, the kit includes screws, foam, input/output bus and supports a 3-position selector. Vintage in look, modern on the inside: a real turning point for your Jazzmaster.
