This EMG DG20 Pro Series pickguard, designed for left-handed guitars, takes its inspiration directly from the red Stratocaster used by David Gilmour, Pink Floyd's iconic guitarist.

This model features a configuration of EMG SA single-coil pickups with active electronics mounted directly on an 11-hole pickguard, incorporating the settings that contributed to Gilmour's distinctive sound.

With this complete kit, a classic Stratocaster becomes more modern, with an extended sound palette and simplified installation. The system is completely pre-wired and requires no soldering, making it accessible to those who wish to carry out the modification themselves.

The three EMG SA single-coil pickups with Alnico magnets deliver a clear, balanced sound without excessive background noise, even at dynamic settings.

Two integrated circuits enrich the sound palette: an EXG expander, to boost bass and treble, and an SPC control, designed to accentuate the midrange and reinforce the character of lead sounds. Volume is adjusted via a central potentiometer.

This model is perfect for all styles, whether you're playing precise rhythms or nuanced solos. Its sound palette covers both quiet moments and powerful passages.

David Gilmour, born in 1946, is best known as Pink Floyd's iconic guitarist. He joined the band in 1968, bringing a melodic and expressive style of playing that became central to their sound. His famous red Stratocaster, acquired in the 1970s, has become almost as famous as he is. On it, he recorded and played some of rock's most memorable solos, including Comfortably Numb and Shine On You Crazy Diamond.

In the 1980s, Gilmour modified this Strat with a system of active EMG pickups to achieve a clearer, more powerful sound, reducing breathiness while retaining the warmth of the single coils. This guitar remained his main instrument for many years, symbolising both his musical approach and his visual identity on stage and in the studio.

This model is available in three colours to suit every musician's style: a classic White Pearl pickguard with ivory pickups, an 'Eclipse' version with a black pickguard and ivory pickups, and a 'Total Eclipse' version with a black pickguard and black pickups.

Several colours are available to personalise the style, with no impact on functionality.
