Goldring's Ethos cell incorporates a Vital line-contact diamond mounted on an aluminium alloy cantilever, a configuration that increases the contact surface with the groove while reducing the mass of the tip. This mobile system is based on a Swedish iron cross-armature surrounded by a powerful, lightweight neodymium magnet, ensuring channel separation that minimises crosstalk and a flat, extended frequency response. Housed in an aircraft-grade aluminium body that dissipates unwanted resonances, the assembly ensures optimum playback stability even during the most complex musical passages.

Presentation
The Goldring Ethos cell is based on a technical architecture designed to rigorously extract the information engraved in the vinyl. Its Vital line-contact diamond profile offers a wide contact zone with the groove walls, allowing high-frequency detail to be reproduced while limiting mechanical wear on the record.
The tip is mounted on a rigid aluminium alloy cantilever, the length of which is calculated to reduce the inertia of the suspension system and maintain a constant playback height.
Inside, the coils are wound around a high permeability Swedish iron cross armature. This configuration reduces unsprung mass and mechanically separates the coils to minimise crosstalk, thus stabilising the stereo image. The magnetic motor uses a neodymium magnet that generates a uniform field, ensuring a frequency response of between 10 Hz and 32 kHz.
The system is stabilised by a butyl rubber suspension pad and a tension wire that control movement during strong modulation. Finally, the aircraft-grade aluminium housing dissipates residual vibrations to the tone arm, keeping the overall weight of the transducer to 7.7 grams.
