Martinez - Almeria Ziricote + Housse

Ziricote has fascinated guitar makers for decades with its dark grain and distinctive texture, and Martinez has made it the primary material for the Almeria Ziricote. The ziricote sides and back produce a rich, woody tone – a rare characteristic in a six-string flamenco-style guitar.

The solid spruce top captures this density and reproduces it with clarity, whilst the rosewood bridge transmits the vibration losslessly to the strings. The mahogany neck meets an ebony fingerboard, with a smooth surface tailored for the rapid scales of the picado. The 650 mm scale length and 50 mm nut width adhere to the compact specifications of the flamenca, offering a natural feel for those coming from a classical background. This guitar is set up for right-handed play, with a natural finish across the entire body and top.

In terms of electronics, the Fishman Presys preamp features a built-in tuner, a three-band EQ, a notch filter to prevent feedback, a pickup balance control and a phase switch – a comprehensive suite of features for amplified performances.
