The Martinez Crossover 14-ST + Case captures the essence of a classic nylon-string guitar in a design tailored for transitioning from acoustic playing to the stage. Part of the Crossover series, this 14-ST combines a crisp attack with the warmth of nylon strings. The craftsmanship of American luthier Kenny Hill complements this approach with a guitar that retains classic features whilst making it easier to play.

The solid spruce top responds quickly to the pick and projects the notes with clarity. The rosewood back and sides reinforce the bass tones and develop rich harmonics. The 4/4 size retains the proportions of a concert guitar, with a scale length of 650 mm (25.59") that provides balanced string tension under the fingers. The 48 mm (1.89") nut provides ample spacing between the strings to keep chords clear, whilst the cutaway allows easy access to the higher frets on the neck.

The Fishman PSY-201 system, a piezo pickup, transmits the tone of the top to the PA system without distorting it, from the living room to the stage, and the guitar retains its nylon-string voice even at band volume. The natural colour and high-gloss finish of the body showcase the grain of the spruce and reflect the spotlights. The gig bag protects the guitar whilst on the move.
