Martinez - Flamenco MFG-AS CE Deluxe RN

From Germany in 1978 to Guangzhou in 2005, the Martinez Flamenco MFG-AS CE Deluxe RN electric nylon-string guitar has built a solid reputation. Wolfgang Jellinghaus, the German founder, and the American luthier Kenny Hill have combined European heritage with American craftsmanship in a Chinese-made instrument that remains true to the classical and flamenco guitar traditions.

The spruce top responds vividly to rasgueados and picado, two techniques that require a crisp attack. The agathis back and sides form the body, with a depth of 90 mm that lends greater richness to the bass tones. This 4/4 size features a gloss finish and a natural colour that catches the light under the spotlights.

The mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard and 20 frets. The 650 mm scale length follows the tradition of the classical guitar, and the 52 mm nut spacing ensures that the six strings remain distinct, keeping each picado note clear. The cutaway provides access to the treble register.

In terms of amplification, the OS-1 active electronics system connects this electro-acoustic guitar to a tablao sound system without the need for a pickup in front of the body. This right-handed version retains a size suitable for stage performance, ready to join a rehearsal or an upcoming fiesta.
