Martinez - Flamenco MFG-AS CE RN + Housse

The Martinez Flamenco MFG-AS CE RN, complete with a gig bag, features a spruce top that responds to rasgueados and picado with a crisp attack. The agathis back and sides form the body, which is 90 mm wide, enhancing the bass volume. This combination of woods complements the nuances of flamenco playing with a response well-suited to guitar techniques.

The classic 4/4 body features a natural colour with a gloss finish. The mahogany neck is fitted with a rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets, combined with a 650 mm scale length that retains the classic format’s markings. The 52 mm nut spaces the six strings to provide a grip suited to flamenco playing.

The OS-1 active electronics system connects the guitar to a sound system without the need for a microphone in front of the soundhole. Its cutaway facilitates access to the treble strings for passages played in this area of the neck. This flamenco electro-acoustic guitar from the Flamenca series comes with a gig bag for transport between rehearsals, peñas and gigs.

Martinez moved from Germany in 1978 to Guangzhou in 2005. German founder Wolfgang Jellinghaus and American luthier Kenny Hill have combined European heritage with American craftsmanship in a Chinese production that has remained faithful to the classical and flamenco guitar.
