Martinez - Standard MC-58C EN + Housse

The Martinez Standard MC-58C RN places cedar at the heart of its character. Its cedar top has a silky feel and produces a warm mid-range tone, with a soft attack right from the very first notes. The high-gloss polyurethane finish preserves the wood’s natural appearance and creates a surface that is resistant to everyday wear and tear.

The Indian rosewood back, sides and bridge provide a warm foundation for the sound. The mahogany neck features a Spanish joint that naturally extends the construction through to the rosewood fingerboard. Beneath the soundboard, the Spanish fan bracing distributes vibrations and enhances projection. The natural wood mosaic rosette and the maple and ebony binding complete the instrument’s detailing.

The 52 mm bone nut sets the string spacing, the 650 mm scale length adheres to the classical standard, the two-way truss rod adjusts the neck, and the gold-plated Martinez 48/58 tuning machines maintain the tuning. The gold-plated fittings echo the wood’s colour in every glint. Twenty frets, mother-of-pearl inlays at the 5th, 7th and 9th frets, factory-fitted Martinez strings.

Produced at the factory in Guangzhou, China – the successor to the Spanish guitar-making tradition founded in Germany in 1978 – this 4/4 model from the Standard series remains an acoustic guitar without electronics. Those who perform on stage will want the cutaway version fitted with the Fishman ISY-301 preamp. The Martinez gig bag protects the guitar whenever it is transported.
