MuxLab - 500445 6x1 2.0 Multimedia Presentation Switch

You're in a meeting, a colleague wants to connect his MacBook to USB-C, another has an old PC with a VGA cable, and you've got your presentation on an HDMI stick. The chaos of adapters begins, and the 6x1 multimedia switch from MuxLab is the antidote. It's the universal convergence point that accepts six different input technologies and sends them to a single screen.

Look at this panel: three 4K/60 HDMI inputs, one DisplayPort 1.2a input, one USB-C port and one conventional VGA input. So you can cover 99% of existing video sources, from the latest laptops to legacy equipment. The signal is preserved in 4:4:4 8-bit with HDR10, and HDCP 2.2 is supported for broadcasting protected content. Even 3D in 1080p is supported, just in case.

The switch can pass-through immersive formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Above all, it can extract the audio track and send it to a room sound system, either in analogue stereo on RCAs or in 5.1-channel digital. A crucial feature for auditoriums or well-equipped conference rooms.

Operation is thoughtfully simple. You leave the switch in 'Auto' mode so that it automatically activates the source that lights up. Or you take control manually using the front buttons, the IR remote control, or better still, from your local network via IP or RS232. The firmware is updated via LAN, which means that the device can evolve and correct itself without you having to touch a cable.
