Novastar - TU20 Pro

The appeal of the NovaStar TU20 Pro extends beyond its role as an LED processor: it also incorporates the functions needed to play content, share a screen and control the display from various devices. This all-in-one approach reduces the number of components required around the screen and gives the system a focus more geared towards interaction and day-to-day control.

The system runs on Android 13, with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage for the TU20 Pro model, as per the specified range. Content can be loaded locally via USB or Ethernet, then played back directly using the built-in media player. The system also supports scaling and various image settings, with display modes tailored to different uses. The supplied remote control completes the package for everyday operations.

The screen mirroring function is another key feature of the TU20 Pro. A computer or mobile device can stream its display to the LED screen, with support for Windows, iOS and Android, as well as various connection methods, including via a wireless USB adapter or USB Type-C. The system also allows the display to be split into multiple zones during screen mirroring, with up to nine screens displayed simultaneously depending on the mode used. A claimed latency of less than 80 ms helps to ensure smooth playback.

Control is via Ethernet, RS-232, Wi-Fi and infrared. The TU20 Pro also features sensor inputs, notably to integrate display management with information from the surrounding environment. Its integration with the NovaStar software ecosystem further expands the possibilities for content management and publishing, particularly with VNNOX and its remote control functions.
