Presentation
The PPG Wave 2.2V is a virtual reincarnation of the cult classic of the same name, with the revolutionary PPG Wave series that began in 1982. First resurrected in 1989 with the Waldorf Microwave, it now enjoys a new lease of life in virtual studios on Mac and PC. Classic wavetable synthesis is best known for evoking the hybrid analogue and digital sounds that have marked so many hit records for decades.
Attack is a percussion synthesizer powered by a powerful analogue synth sound generator. It offers the characteristic sounds of the classic analogue drum machines of the 80s, and the progressive electronic rhythms of the 90s and beyond, in the production environments of the 21st century. Because Attack calculates all sounds in real time, users can change any parameter directly.
D-Pole completes the Waldorf Edition 2 range as a highly versatile filter plug-in with five filter types (lowpass, bandpass, highpass, notch, and resonator), sample rate reduction, Ring Mod, Overdrive (up to +52 dB), and stereo delay, all with Waldorf quality!

Created by the former distributor of the PPG brand between 1975 and 1987, the Waldorf brand was launched in 1988. The Microwave was the first Waldorf synthesiser to be based on a wavetable concept, and was soon a huge success, as were all the models that followed: Microwave II, Microwave XT.
